Background:
Electro(EL):Continue the cooperation between PVS and WMS within automation and electro vg2 (advanced course)
Restaurant and Food processing department ( RF) : new partner , but the RM-department has long experience in carrying out mobilityprojects.
Aim:
-increase the motivation for students to complete their education.
-Make vocational studies more attractive.
-increased language skills
-enlargening the students cultural horizon
Participants: 4 to 6 vg2 students + 2 teachers from the electro department each year
4 to 6 vg2 students + 2 teachers from the Restaurant and Food Processing department(RF) each year
A total of 26 persons over two years
Activities: During the stay in Germany and Portugal, the students will be both at school and in enterprises. For the Electro department an important technical competence aim is related to the use of PLC.
For the RF department an important aim is related to quality management systems in the food-and- beverage business
Cultural activities are also important in the project.
Linguistic advantages: the working language is English. At the end of their stay, our students are going to make a presentation in English for the German / Portugise students/teachers.
Effects:
- make it easier for the students to see and understand the connection between practice and theory
- make the students more comfortable with using English as a working language
Long-term effects:
- increased interest in mobility in Europe
- increase the students' independence and self-confidence. This is important for their personal development
For the school: exchange experience between schools, and increased expertise
Dissemination:
Travelogue and articles in the local paper during and after the stay
Provide lectures/experience sharing to the school owner (Nordland county)
