EKOenergy is a network of European NGOs willing to promote the consumption and production of renewable electricity and also an ecolabel for electricity supplied to consumers (households, corporate consumers, others). In this EVS project, a French volunteer was introduced to Finland for 10 months period. The aim was to get in closer contact with stakeholders in France and its neighbouring countries. This project was a follow up of an earlier project focusing on France. These two projects resulted in active cooperation with the French NGOs. The cooperation was very fruitful for both parties included. Besides contacting and cooperating with French NGOs, the volunteer was working on different sub-projects related to EKOenergy, and also participated in other activities of the Finnish Association of Nature Conservation in order to get more experiences of the work field of environmental NGO. The volunteer was embedded in the EKOenergy team, which is a part of the Environment Protection Department of the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation.
