EIPEN – European Interprofessional Education Network for vocational training in health and social care

EIPEN is the acronym for “European Interprofessional Education Network for vocational training in health and social care”. Eipen will establish a sustainable and inclusive network of people and organisations in the six partner countries (UK, SE, HU, PL, FI, EL)to share and develop effective interprofessional vocational training curricula, training methods and materials for improving collaborative practice and multi agency working in health and social care. The network model will integrate an interactive satellite website, learning and teaching workshops in each member state, e-bulletins, newsletters etc. plus an advisory group of stakeholders/partners meeting twice a year. In addition to the eight “core” partners there are eight “associate “ partners from the employers side, both members of the steering group; Interprofessional Education (IPE) in health and social care (= improve the skills and competences of people-Object. A) is the main focus of the networks activity, because there is till now no such network and there is need for actions concerning teacher training, implementation, overcoming resistance from established bodies. Main target groups are teachers, academic staff, and practitioners, but also employers of health and social care professionals as well as policy makers. The exchange of experiences and good practices will be facilitated by the network. New IP initiatives will be developed.
