EIL Cultural & Educational Travel - The Countrys..
EIL Cultural & Educational Travel - The Countryside Education Trust
Start date: Sep 1, 2010,
CET offers educational programmes to local and regional schools and community groups. By hosting an overseas volunteer, the organisation would be able to build a European dimension into the work of the centre, providing access to informal intercultural learning opportunities for staff and clients alike. CET is interested in promoting their work in other European countries and hopes that hosting an EVS volunteer may contribute to this aim. The centre employs 18 full and part-time staff, including educational staff, administrative staff, and support staff. The volunteer would work as part of the educational team, assisting the Education Officers in their work. The centre employs two UK volunteers each year, who work as assistants in one particular aspect of the centre's work. The EVS volunteer would provide additional support to both the UK volunteers and the paid staff, and would be able to assist in a wide range of activities and areas of work, resulting in varied work tasks, plentiful support, and full integration into the staff team. The volunteer would be involved in all aspects of the centre work, including educational activities, community work, practical conservation and farming
