In recent years important developments were observed in the textile fibres area, with new fibres with special characteristics having been introduced in the market. The project main idea is to offer e-learning training courses on textile fibres, both at national and international level, for the textile and clothes industries. It covers horizontally all the sub sectors of the textile and clothing chain, like spinning companies, weaving and knitting companies, dyeing, finishing and printing companies and garment companies. Target groups are all the different professional profiles involved in this sector (from technical to commercial workers, from youth or unemployed people to medium-level managers, etc.). The project foresees the following outputs: a knowledge management tool for researching and organising related knowledge that is already present in the sector, and the creation of a community of practice.
