The aim of the project is to develop a multistage practical program which supports energy efficiency actions especially for existing public building stock in St.Petersburg. The program will be based on results of pilot buildings representing typical public buildings from 50`s to 80`s (schools, kindergartens, health centers etc.). New concepts will be created and tested in collaboration with Finnish and Russian partners in order to compose new types of energy efficiency services and to constitute a base for new business. This includes creation of efficient energy management tools and solutions for improving energy-economic performance of buildings, improving sustainability and service life of buildings stock and improving the quality of life of the citizen (users and residents). Improving energy efficiency of buildings will benefit house owners and occupants economically and through improved quality of indoor climate.
