The suggested project refers to the following: Initially, all the teachers involved will have a preparatory meeting which will take place via video-conference. The coordinator of the project, in collaboration with Latsia Gymnasium (highschool) in Nicosia will define the timetable of the four visits during which the teachers will participate in training seminars; they will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and experience concerning far more interesting and effective methods of teaching through the use of new technology. The four science participant teachers (who are qualified of 1st degree in IT) at their individual visits ( two on the first and two on the second year), will be trained in all fields of science and will then have the obligation to present via lesson plans the knowledge and the experience gained. Through this project the participant teachers will obtain additional skills to teach their classes using new technologies as well as get in touch with educational systems of other countries so that: a) with the improvement of the curriculum on their subjects b) with the use of new technologies in teaching science c) with the use of new technological methods in assessing students in science d) with the creation of a portfolio, exercises and evaluation tests their lessons will become more interesting, understandable and attractive to students. In the long-term, the participant teachers will provide teachers of other specialties of the school with new ways of teaching through the use of new technological methods . The results will be transmitted to the teachers through Internet (e-mail), and through other social media,eg. etwinning.
