"Education is a challenge" Nowadays, when there are a lot of changes in Polish educational system, our school has to face a problem, how to teach subjects with elements of foreign language. At the same time teachers of English have started teaching English as a professional, technical subject. The aim of the project "Education is a challenge" is to train teachers in how to cope with educational obstacles. Teachers of languages, general and professional subjects need to know the latest methods and techniques in order to make their lessons more interesting and up-to-date. Modern style of teaching will help to attract students' attention and eliminate their playing truant. There are 9 teachers who are going to take part in the project: 1 Math teacher, 1 Polish teacher, 1 teacher of German, 4 teachers of English, 1 educator and 1 Business Studies teacher. The biggest necessity of the chosen teachers is to getting to know how (unknown so far) the teaching system CLIL functions. the language teachers require constant improvements of their teaching skills and methods and providing the students with the authentic materials which they can get only from the foreign countries. The aim of the course for the school educator is gaining the knowledge connected with modern methods of working with students and with those who are not motivated enough and what is more to present them the possibilities of European universities, colleges and the job market. The main organizational tasks consist of finding out the potentiality of the programme Erasmus Plus, preparing the proper documents and application form and the recruitment of the participants. Major activities of the coordinator and the other teachers will be the appropriate preparation to the courses - organization of the trip, monitoring the courses, filling in the final report and the evaluation and implementation of the results. Before the course each participant will be obliged to read professional literature to refresh their knowledge and being able to check it during the course. Every teacher will familiarise themselves with the economical and social situation of the country, she is going to go. During the realization of the project the teachers will be trained on the language, methodology, intercultural and class-observation courses. The participants will gain the knowledge about approaching to the modern teaching process. They will get to know the system CLIL. After the training the teachers will be better prepared to conduct the classes using the latest technology, active methods and creative teaching. They will be equipped with the acquaintanceship of the newest educational systems in European countries and they will get relevant materials for every day work with students. One of the results is to make the classes more attractive in order to motivate students to take part in the lessons more actively. We want our students to get a feeling that they are a part of modern, European community and look at their teachers as role models for their future. The long - term effect of the professional development of the teachers will help to make our school more competitive on the local educational market and make students' academic results higher. Thanks to the refreshing the teachers' attitude towards teaching and dealing with students' behavior the European Dimension of our school will definitely get bigger.
