Edukacja europejska kluczem do kariery zawodowej
Start date: Dec 15, 2014, End date: Dec 14, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Students from Vocational School in Pszów participating in this project are deeply interested in vocational training. Young people present high level of aesthetic sensitivity and are open for international experiences. They were selected among those who successfully took part in the Best Evening Hairstyle Contest, gained sufficient communicative skills in English language and had good marks for behaving at school. The selected participants will be divided into two groups of seventeen students. Being involved into a hairdressing training abroad is a completely new and demanding challenge for our youth. Increasing the competitiveness in the labour market across the EU is the main goal of this project. The labour market calls for well-trained, creative, open-minded and flexible workers whose communicative and innovative skills are at the highest level. The next objective is concerned with enhancing the quality of vocational education and training (VET). Youngsters will have a great chance to develop their skills in foreign countries. They can get a number of brand new , important abilities like: modern ways and techniques of hair styling, colour, cut, straightening and extensions; using professional computer software for hairdressers; various methods of the consulting for customers. The knowledge obtained during the training course will increase their potential to be in employment and will also provide personal development. Every participant has got a real chance to overcome the language barriers by improving their communicative skills and social competences. The project assumptions are based on the realities of the Polish labour market. In the times of global financial crisis we should encourage young people to be more self-confident, motivated, mobile and open for further education and training (FET). The main effect of the project, in the frame of the Erasmus+ Programme, will be convincing the participants how important and valuable is the role of FET and confronting their skills with the knowledge and professionalism of others. All those actions are expected to increase the level of students’ competences to open private business where such personal qualities like creativeness and assertiveness are most wanted. Running this project will give another significant result: the school has got a chance to be well-equipped with the new and helpful aids and materials for both students and teaching staff. Carrying this project out will let our school to become more competitive and attractive for the future students. The North West Academy of English is our partner in this project. Two weeks training is organized for two separate groups of students and will take place in Londonderry (England) in October 2014 and 2015.
