Edukacja dla przyszłości
Start date: Dec 31, 2014, End date: Dec 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Erasmus + Programme „Teaching Staff Mobility” is due to take place in our institution i.e. IV LO (Secondary School number 4) in Poznan, Poland within the period from 2014 to 2015. It will consist of two parts and their strategic element constitute training trips. The objectives and strategies of the project fully depend on the topic. Potential short and long-term benefits are dependent on the quality of their implementation. The project "Education for the Future" is to be implemented through the training of teaching staff in terms of both language and methodology to raise the professional qualifications of the participants. The selection of issues that are to be implemented in the project, is adapted to the needs of the changing educational system. These alterations result directly from the rapidly occurring communication and perception shifts in the modern world. Access to encyclopedic knowledge is so common that its absorption in a wide range turns out to be unfounded. Thus, the educational system requires to be adjusted to the acquisition of skills. This is connected with the necessity to expand staff qualifications, through, inter alia, search for and implementation of modern working methods. English as a global language is an essential tool in the education of students of the EU Member States. The language efficiency of teaching staff ensures language proficiency among students, which gives young people the chance to appear on the international market. 10 participants (i.e. teaching staff) take part in project meetings, linguistic and methodological workshops. Conclusions and results following from them shall be subject to evaluation. Moreover, the results will be published on the project website. The awareness of the educational mission was a criterion for the selection of all ten participants who are experienced teachers - nine of them are certified teachers. The factor equality of chances for both women and men was also taken into account thus 20% of participants are men. The group consists of 5 teachers of English (including the principal, who is also a teacher of chemistry, four of them are examiners, one of the teachers is also an expert of the Central Examination Committee), a teacher of German language (both methodological adviser and associate of the Centre for Teachers), a teacher of geography (CEC expert), 2 teachers of history and social studies (one examiner and associate of the National Remembrance Chamber, the other an honorary vice consul of Ireland in Poznan) and a teacher of Polish literature (also an examiner). The project starts with a 2-week trip to school in Derry during the summer holidays. It will allow to clarify all preparatory activities, verify both the initial objectives of the project and the detailed development of the second part. Home partner is obliged to organize accommodation, transfers (logistics), as well as to develop a residency programme. It also prepares and conducts language and methodology courses. After each module an evaluation takes place. The conclusions drawn upon each evaluation will be considered while developing the implementation of further modules of the project. We select the participants of the project, prepare them to participate in each of its modules, through trainings and courses. In addition, we develop itinerary, provide additional insurance. These steps are to be consulted and agreed with the partner institution. The project participants will implement a programme prepared by the partner institution. The stay will complete an evaluation conference, which will pre-define the positives and possible failures. Thus, another part of the project will be defined. The second phase of the evaluation will take place after returning to school. The results of both evaluation and training will be presented and implemented according to earlier prepared plans (e.g. sharing of gained qualifications, training, exhbitions). Another year is devoted to activities, discussions and meetings to refine the second part of the project - namely to increase the efficiency of all operations. The final part of the project is another training trip to Derry. Participation in the project will bring both long and short-term results. This applies both to the effects in the form of learning and use of new methods of work, implementation of modern techniques of teaching, as well as the full benefit of English-speaking research. Raised qualifications of teachers will affect the quality of teaching and thus the results of the examinations. The project will proceed in accordance with the provisions of the proposal and contract for project financing. This will depend on many factors, i.e. both the formal procedures, the flow of information, project management, and collaboration with partners. The last phase will be the evaluation of the project, i.e. results and then assessment of the effectiveness and sustainability of the effects of their implementation in the work.
