"Education and integration for development” is a Polish-Ukrainian long-term EVSproject implemented by the Angelus Silesius House (Wroclaw, Poland) and Educational Initiatives Center (Lviv, Ukraine) with the support of municipality of Lviv city and other actors. In the frames of the project 2 Polish EVS volunteers will spend 10 months in Lviv (01.09.2014-30.06.2015) running different educational activities for local children and youth, esp. for those socially disadvantaged from suburban areas. The main aim of the project is to provide a posibility for pupil and young people of Ukraine to get into contact with the representative (EVS volunteer) of European country and to share knowledge in different spheres of life, culture, traditions etc. The main objectives of the project are: to support active participation of youth in social life; to activate application of non-formal and civic education methods in youth work; to provide space for the discussion of the topics which are important for Europe: human rights, tolerance, intercultural dialogue etc.; to improve the quality of youth work in Ukraine due to the implementation of international experience; to engage young people into social life (it is specially targeted on the rural youth, which has fewer possibilities for quality education and leisure) etc. The role of volunteer in the performing of the task is to promote the idea of European non-formal education with their own example of voluntary work in this field and with the disseminating good practices of other organizations activities. The outcome of the project will be a publication and an artcile on internet page describing the idea and principles of the programme, as well as summarizing different methods which can be used during the activities.
