The project entitled „Development of central data bank on European level for the education of ecological farmers“ aims at producing training programmes for the topic of ecological farming. Target groups are graduated of agricultural secondary schools, and graduated with diploma for reorientation, unemployed graduated in the agricultural sector. The proposal refers to a previous project (COMPASS) which treated the same topic, the added value shall be the development of an e-learning tool and the creation of Knowledge Centres and the change of the target group which shall have an advising character. The expected results are: (1) a training programme for advisers’ education in ecological farming, (2) a central data base connected to knowledge centres by a virtual network, (3) a method of operation similar to Linux. The main topics to be developed for the training are ecological agriculture, ecological field crops, ecological horticulture crops, ecological animal husbandry, post harvest and storage. Final users shall be agricultural advisers in extension services. Valorisation is planned through the use of the central server and the creation of knowledge centres disseminating the results. The impact expected is the increased knowledge of the advisers, the better advise for farmers on ecological agriculture, the increased number of ecologically managed farms, good quality healthy food and a healthy environment.
