Vox is responsible at national level for the development of lifelong learning policy, in particular relating to adults with low levels of education. We are responsible for a national program for Basic Competence at the Work Place, as well as being the main promoter for the professional development of teachers engaged in the educational and social integration of adult immigrants. We are looking for input from European stakeholders regarding quality systems for adult education with a particular focus on systems and approaches for the professionalization of teaching staff. Vox is a member of the European Basic Skills Network, an independent network which cooperates with the Commission in the implementation of the European Agenda for Adult Learning but does not receive any grant from European funds. One of the main initiatives in the network has been the creation of the EBSN Academy. We plan to attend courses organized by the most experienced members of the network, as well as keeping in touch with all members through our attendance to the annual EBSN conference. Vox is continuously developing its programs for teacher training. The members of staff that will take part in these mobilities are the core team developing the courses. All input coming from the courses, seminars and conferences which these mobilities relate to, will directly have an impact in the Norwegian system for professionalization of teachers of basic skills for adults. This mobility plan comprises in total eight mobilities. Four of these will be used for attendance to four courses/seminars organized within the EBSN Academy. The other four relate to participation in the annual EBSN conferences (2015 and 2016).
