East & West EVS is a large-scale EVS project which will bridge the gap between the East and the West, in the pursuit of youth and child development. Within this project 14 youth volunteers will be sent to Nepal, Bangladesh and Vietnam to work with deprived children, with the aim of promoting positive academic and social development. The volunteers will comprise of a diverse mix of European youth, from the Netherlands, Spain, Poland and Italy. This will allow for great intercultural experience for the youth volunteers and the hosting organization in which they serve.Over the course of three months, these youth will work side-by-side with local teachers and youth workers to bring new educational and social opportunities to disadvantaged children. From working in schools, to building programs in youth centres, to assisting in the development of the host organization, our volunteers will be tasked with many responsibilities that will give them great experience for their own future goals and employment. Truly, this project with impact the lives of children of the East and youth volunteers from the west.
