East&West Building Projects for Rural Youth
Start date: Aug 1, 2012,
The general idea of the PBA ““East & West Building Projects for Rural Youth” (Armenia-Dilijan, 6-14 October 2012) is to give the opportunity for youth workers, project managers and youth leaders working with youth in rural areas (in Europe or Eastern Europe and Caucasus (EECA)) to meet, share experience and good practices of youth work in rural areas and develop common projects that provide support and encourage active participation of rural youth. The PBA would last for 6 days (excluding travel), include 30 participants from 16 different organizations from Programme countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, Hungary, Estonia, Italy, Slovakia, Poland, Turkey, Romania) and EECA (Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). Partnership-building will be at the very core of project, because worked out project ideas will provide clear result and multiplying effect of the project. To assure the maximum effect of the project, apart from typical non-formal education learning methods (group work, discussions, role-plays, simulations, etc.), to understand better the challenges of rural youth in Armenia/EECA region, during the project participants will also have the chance to interact with local youth. The applicant and host of the project is Armenian “Youth Cooperation Centre of Dilijan” NGO.
