East and West Youth Work is a 3 week Job Shadow with Youth Work Ireland Galway hosting a particpant from Georgian Youth for Europe. Both countries are on the periphery of Europe and while Ireland is a Programme Country, Georgia is a Partner Country raising some challenges such as travel costs, distances and requiring travel visas for cooperation as well as having quite different histories in Europe and cultural contexts. East and West Youth Work will support both participant and host to learn from each other, share information and experience and build future partnership projects. Formal meetings, discussions, semi-stuctured meetings, obeservation, presentations and cultural activities will be used during the project to ensure effective learning. Young people in both countries will learn about the other nation and will benefit through increased knowledge of youth mobility opportunities. Social media will be used by host and participant throughout the project to connect with young people and the general public and increase the visibility of Erasmus+
