EAGLE - EUROPEAN APPROACHES TO INTER-GENERATIONAL LIFELONG LEARNING
Start date: Oct 1, 2006,
Recognising changing demographics in Europe and the increasing importance of intergenerational as well as lifelong and lifewide learning, EAGLE partners undertook in-depth research into the benefits and limitations of such learning approaches. Relevant policy frameworks and practice examples were identified and a range of social experimentation activities took place, all with a view to expanding existing knowledge in the field and to launching professional dialogue amongst relevant stakeholders, including at policy level. In addition to a report on Intergenerational Learning in Europe, including a series of policy recommendations, an hands-on toolkit for intergenerational activity was developed to support those wanting to develop or implement future programmes.
