A maritime web based platform (http://e-marlang.stc-r.nl) is developed in Moodle to integrate existing (web-based) courses into a Learning Management System. The E-learning system exists at the moment of a set of two e-learning courses that can be used by teachers as well as students. The MarEng English language course was used as a best practice. The web-based platform is evaluated by lecturers as well as students and the findings are reported and recommendations are documented and if possible already implemented.
