e-Learning educational center in medicine
The need in lifelong learning is increasingly in the field of medicine, regulary faced with the problem of keeping up to date with knowledge in a rapid developing field, unpredictable schedules, differencies in the teaching styles, language, culture and medical legislation. *The project aimes to answer to the needs of medical staff in improvement/updating/accesibility/equal chances to knowledge and harmonisation in training, by transfer of innovation from 2 previous LDVprojects, recte MEDITOP and PEDITOP (the HELSINKI AWARD, as one of the best projects in Europe). The main result of those projects was an e-learning environement for medical staff in pediatry. The transfer of innovation refers to the transfer of valorised results of previous LDV projects towards other geographical areas (new countries-RO, BG; new languages-RO,BG), within the same sector (health) but expanding, disseminating and valorising the results, adding new target groups-residents, patients; new medical fields-ecography; patient culture; new results, new institutions). *The project objectives consist in developing of an e-learning health education center interprofessional in outlook; interdisciplinary in approach; intercultural in background; interactive in design;international in scope aiming to increase knowledge of the participants by exchange of experience and good practice. *There is a well established international partner and specialists balance (medical, educational technological) - 4 countries/t 6 partners. The consortium is formed by higher education institutions, university consortium, SME s experienced in education, medical services multimedia software, medical units with a a long standing reputation for providing student-centred, innovative programmes of health education and long lasting professional cooperation at international level. *Outcomes: 1.Products (tangible): reports and comparative studies regarding the state of art and needs in medical educational field in participant countries; a complex Web site (English and partners languages); a virtual center including an interactive web based Lifelong learning platform (interactive training modules, a health cultural module, an evaluation and self assessment software, a glossary for medical terms; a module for tutor training); 2. Methodologies: development of a quantified self assessment method -QA module; student-activated learning methods simulated and collaborative learning; 3.Other: proper recognition of competences in the framework of
