E-learning as a tool of knowledge transfer in the field of protection and management of archaeological heritage

The project involved the elaboration of methodology of the e-learning solutions in the field of protection and management of archaeological heritage, which has not been achieved to date. It comprised a production of 15 multimedia e-learning courses covering the most significant issues in this field and their distribution between the partners. A test training was carried out by all partners to assess quality and effectiveness of created materials and products. The knowledge was distributed in the form of web based training using the e-learning platform for internet training at A.Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The main and direct target group in the project are professionals in the sector of archaeological heritage protection and management as well as graduate and extramural students interested in this field of expertise from all participating countries. Other specialists working in the archaeological sector or people somehow related to this sector, such as archaeologists, planners, architects, etc. will also constitute the target group. Since this is a largely dispersed group, the most efficient way to get access to high-quality vocational knowledge is Internet application for communication and knowledge distribution.
