The E-Creator project will develop specific training methodology for use with vocational training experts and tutors/trainers wishing to update traditional vocational training materials towards an e-learning environment, the aim being to empower these professionals to undergo the transition of materials without the need for an ICT expert. The project responds to the need for change within many training programmes, in line with the latest developments in ICT. In considering such developments, there is a need to better update the ICT skills of vocational training experts and tutors/trainers, further increasing the individual competitiveness of this target group. The project will pay particular attention to training providers working with groups where access to training is a problem, namely those from rural areas where distance forms a disadvantage. A discussion forum will be developed by the project to allow debate and the exchange of ideas and to assist in reaching a consensus on appropriate training methodologies and guidelines. An interactive and multilingual website will be further introduced to host both end products/results and process-related information. Beyond the project lifetime the website expects to continue in order to provide a venue for the ongoing networking of European e-learning institutions. This network expects to foster new project ideas for the ongoing development of project results and for the dissemination of good practice.
