E-COM will work with SME executive and management personnel to raise awareness of the advantages and potential presented by e-learning.Activities will include analysis of the training needs of SME executives and management personnel with regard to e-commerce (via direct questionnaires to the target group) and the design, development and introduction of a training tool (paper-based & CD-Rom) for the target group in order to meet the needs identified within the analysis phase. The results of the project will include: the analysis of training needs, an e-commerce training tool and supporting manual and a webpage presenting both project methodology and final results.Dissemination of the process and results will be aimed primarily at representatives of the end target group (a database will be compiled of those having registered their interest in this type of training) and to training practitioners and policy makers in order to inform them of the latest developments with regard to e-commerce. In the longer-term, the results will be considered for commercialisation.
