PROJECT
FINISHED
The project "E-co-operation" aims to encourage young people to get active online, to use the new information and communication technologies for civic engagement, creating innovation and achieving positive changes in the society. Its aims are also to initiate discussions about the importance of community development, cooperation and civic participation and encourage a critical reflection about the behaviours of our current society, human relationships and the way we interact with each other online and offline. The project consists of two international activities, which will be organized during summer and autumn 2016. The "Training Course on E-activism: Act, React & E-act!" will take place in Toulcuv Dvur in Praha, Czech Republic 1-7 August 2016 and will gather 18 participants. The target group of this meeting are youth workers, young leaders, activists and volunteers who often interact with young people and who are interested to get to know various forms of e-activism and use online tools in order to initiate positive changes in the society. The international activity "D-e-sign it!" will be organized in the Holiday Camp Mihajlovo in Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia 18-23 October 2016. It will gather 18 participants, all young people or youth workers who are keen to get involved in future projects, in which e-participation will serve as the way of organization, a tool to achieve the goals or various outcomes of the project. Both activities will be based on the methods of non-formal education and will be participant driven to a high extend. IYNF will hire experienced trainers and facilitators who will guide the learning process of the participants and react on the current needs of the group. Methods of experiential learning and interest-driven networking will be given preference.IYNF has defined 4 overall aims in the field of e-participation for the year of 2016, which are at the same time also the overall aims of the project. Each activity planned withing this project will contribute to the overall aims by working on particular and more concrete objectives. The aims are the following:• to explore the possibilities of e-participation, especially as a backbone for active volunteers• to develop tools to increase online visibility and online participation of young people• to critically reflect on the limits of the e-participation and initiate offline actions (where e-participation serves the way of organization, tool or outcome)• to educate a core group of people to become IYNF e-volunteers and to become good examples of online civic engagementThe "E-co-operation" project aims to positively impact its participants and the participating organization. The participants will enhance their key competences and develop knowledge and skills especially related to their digital competences. The participating organizations will extend their online activity and explore innovative ways how to keep their members involved in a long-term perspective.A workshop on safe and efficient e-activism will be developed and a manual will be created and shared with the public, next to that IYNF aims to update its volunteering policy or to create a new policy focused on e-volunteering, which again should serve as an inspiration for other organizations. The very important results of the "E-co-operation" project are international, national and local activities and workshops related to e-participation that will be organized by the participants and their new working teams after the international activities. Thanks to the activity "D-e-sign it!" they will be provided with sufficient space for planning and expertise related to project management, which will ensure long term benefits to them and their organizations.
