The project "Sound of Europe" "will be implemented in Świnoujscie in West Pomerania voivodeship. The exchange will take place between 23 - 28 March 2015 (6 days). It is a youth exchange for youngsters from four countries: Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria and Greece. Project participants are 20 girls and boys aged 18-25 years and one team leader from each country.
The main objective of the project is to search for common folk sounds that connect Europe, as well as learning traditional dances originating from the partner countries.
The project will begin integration&team building games and exploring the host city - Świnoujscie through fun and quizzes, because at the beginning it is very important for young people to get to know each other. The second day will be connected with discovering the sounds of the city in small international groups, and then processing these sounds on computers. The third day of the project will be connected with the knowledge of the sounds and dances of the countries participating in the exchange. We will focus on dances and traditional music. The next day of the project young people will go to Szczecin and they will visit a local radio station. We want to feel like a real radio presenters. The penultimate day of the project we will record lip-dub - a combination of video, audio, which will be one of the elements to ensure visibility of the project. The last day of the project is the summary and to determine future plans. Methods of work during the project include: workshops, debates, multimedia presentation, games and fun.
Effects of the project will be: understanding cultural differences, overcome barriers and stereotypes in their mutual relations,
shaping attitudes of tolerance, development of key competencies: creativity, skills of effective communication
and collaboration, planning and implementation of activities, the use of computer technology. Acquired skills and knowledge will create: materials, presentations, lip-dub and sound file that will be used to ensure the visibility and will be used to disseminate results.
