We carry out this project to increase the chances of proffesional success and- consequently- life success - graduates of our school. This will be accomplished through the implementation of the project, which will : raising level of professional qualifications and personal development of participants .
The project participants will be students from our technical specializations: agricultural technician, gardening technicianand architecture technician- a total of 64 people .
After qualifying for the linguistic- cultural– educational praparation course,participants will leave -divided into four groups - for a three-week long internships in different types and sizes of farms, agritourism and businesses in Italy and Portugal. Since the project will last two years, in the school year 2014/15 two groups will leave for internships (each group consisted of 16 trainees and two guardians): one to Italy and one to Portugal. Identical groups will leave for internships in the year 2015/16.
After completion of the placement and return to school, trainees will prepare: on-line filled report, presentations outlining their participation in the project and photo exhibition to disseminate the results . After closing conference, their participation in the project will end but the results of it will be a long lasting and have enormous impact on their professional and personal life.
Soft results of the project include :
- Gaining new qualifications and increasing the chances of participants in the labor market;
- Improvement of language skills ;
- Acquisition of the ability to work in a multinational team;
- An increase in self-esteem ;
- Increasing motivation for further learning;
- Learning about the culture and customs of the host country;
- Increasing professional and personal aspirations;
- Development of tolerance for different habits and behaviors;
- An increase of duty and discipline;
Main hard results:
- Completing by the participants planned and implemented in school, educational cultural preparatory classes,
- Completing by participants language course (Portuguese and Italian),
- Receiving by the project participants Europass Mobility;
The material products of the project are:
- Presentation outlining the project from different perspectives ;
- A collection of photos taken by participants during the internship ;
- Trainees blogs;
- A collection of great recipes prepared by the trainees,
- Evaluation materials for future use .
During the implementation of the project, methodology procedure will be based on a clear division of tasks and on principle of constant supervision over all project activities. From the first phase(creating objectives of the project) to the last(popularisation and closure of the project) documentation will be collected, and the responsibilities of project employees team will be well-defined.
Internships will be, for the project participants a great school of autonomy, will improve their self-esteem, strengthen confidence, contribute to personal development and working abroad, often in a multinational team, will allow them to get to know and understand the value of cultural diversity in Europe. Observing these changes in attitudes and skills of participants should encourage other students from our school to undertake additional efforts to develop and broaden proffesional skills and gain work experience so valued even during the school education.
Qualifications, developed and established through participation in the project, will allow participants, after graduating from high school, to become a valuable and sought-after employees; institutions of employment will become competitive on the market also because of employees knowledge and experience. This way, trainees indirectly contribute to strengthening the market position of their future employers.
All three project partners will expand knowledge and skills, gain new experiences useful in developing international activities. School representatives and foreign partners working in the project will meet people raised in a different culture, which will contribute to development of their sensitivity to issues of intercultural dialogue and diversity of customs and behaviors in other European countries .
Because to the project the school, as an institution will gain experience in international cooperation and increase its prestige and popularity, which should improve recruitment .
