PROJECT
FINISHED
The project “Do the RIGHT thing” was an international youth exchange where young people from 7 different countries had the chance to meet and stay together for one week. The project took place in Almondsbury, close to Bristol. The main focus of the project was the topic of human rights and human rights education in general. There are many issues connected to protection of human rights – for example xenophobia, racism or hate speech, which were covered during the project. The project promoted and supported the role of young people in human rights protection. We believe that human rights are an important issue in today's society and that young people can play very positive role in promoting human rights and this project aimed to contribute to it. Another important part of the project was also the intercultural learning. We think intercultural learning contribute to greater respect to human rights.
The activities included simulation games, discussions, presentations, role games, practical workshops, small group sessions, activities with local community etc.
