The project "Do Not Be afraid of Structured Dialogue" responded to specific experience of organizations working with youth and young people themselves. Organizations involved in the project shared positive and negative experience gained during the implementation of projects at the national level and European Union educational program Youth in Action and subsequent Erasmus + - educational program of European Union for the period 2014-2020. The organizations were realizing a joint project "The Rights of Children versus Parents", which had been supported by the educational program Erasmus +. During the project, a new need of organizations emerged. That need was related to the issues of the project in terms of the involvement of young people themselves in addressing the issues of the relations child - parent, child - society, parent - society. We came to the conclusion that young people had to learn to talk openly about the status of parents, children as future parents in society, about their rights but also obligations, and had to be able to express their opinion clearly and comprehensively. Within the project "Do not beafraid of Structured Dialogue", the participants learned, tried out and also discussed participatory methods: Open space, World Café, Public hearing, Open Day, Working Group, Interactive exhibition, Creating community vision, Future Scenarios , Roundtable, Citizens' Jury, Planning cell, Future Search Conference, Charrette, Delphi, Consensus conferences, Deliberative polls, Focusgroup. In the discussion, applicability of each method was evaluated in terms of the age of the participants of the participatory process, topics and also in terms of perception of the methods in terms of cultural, geographic and political environment of the participants ´countries. The project addressed the participation in general to support the ability of youth workers to answer the questions: What does it mean to participate? Why should we do so? And does it ever make sense? The project consisted of one activity: / in the project were included program and one partner activities – therefore, in the application were recorded two activities, which form one combined activity / 1. Mobility of youth workers The main objectives of the project: Contribute to the project implementation to achieve the objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy and in particular the fourth goal - improving education levels Specific project objectives: 1. Getting familiar with participatory methods and the ability to use them in the participatory process properly and appropriately 2. Improve the quality of youth work in organizations 3. Develop competencies (knowledge,skills and attitudes) of young people and youth workers 4. Intercultural dialogue 5. Language preparation In the framework of the project, the involved organizations solved streamline and improvement of their activities in the use of participatory methods, mutually shared their experience with the participation of young people and they knew the answer to the questions: What does it mean to participate? Why should we do so? And does it ever make sense? Subsequently, the best practices and participatory methods of non-formal education, which emerged from Activity 1 of this project, were applied into the activities of the participants´organizations.
