Do it TO-GET-THERE in Joutseno - project is the group EVS and is held in Joutseno/ Lappeenranta, South Karelia. There will be 10 volunteers from 5 coutries: from Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Italy and Ireland. The volunteers are the young people with fewer opportunity. The duration of the project is 3 weeks, 30.7-20.8.The main idea of the project is to arrange the local culture festival, Kontufolk, together with local and international volunteers. There will be different kind of art and culture workshops for the volunteers before and after the festival where volunteers work together with local people. Main objectives of the project are 1) to support and make South Karelian culture visible, 2) to bring more international dimension to area and to increase that way the international dialogue and to develop the sense of awareness, 3) to offer the young people with fewer opportunities opportunity for international voluntary work, 4) to give those young people the opportunity to create their own culture (music, art, drama etc.), 5) to work together with local and international volunteers and that way to support everybody's own identity and the feeling of doing thing as a group, 6) everybody is an artist!
