DIVERSIFICATION OF THE TOURISTIC ATTRACTIONS AND PRODUCTS IN THE CROOS-BORDER REGION - INTERNATIONAL CYNOLOGY AND ENTERTAINMENT CENTER MARITSA - DIMITROVGRAD (CYNOLOGY CENTER)

The project “Diversification of the touristic attractions and products in the cross – border region – International Cynology and entertainment centre “Maritsa” – Dimitrovgrad”aims to improve the cross-border cooperation in the field of economic development in the cross-border region by investing in the development of alternative tourist attractions in the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad and the creation of a network of cross-border cooperation with the Greek organizations to promote the development of the cynology sport in the region. The project activities are related with the construction of appropriate infrastructure in the Park “Maritza”– establishing of two separate areas in the park for conducting of competitions, exhibitions and training dogs; creation of a service building for theoretical training of instructors of dogs and dog owners with special purposed; and delivering of necessary equipment. In addition, the project includes establishing a system of dog training programs, implementation of joint marketing actions – researches and analyses; cross- border meetings for experience exchange; international cynology exhibition in Dimitrovgrad. Through implementation of the project, it will be created better conditions for the development of cynology sport by established cross-border cooperation networks for exchanging experience and know-how. Expected Results: Popularization and dissemination of project objectives. Minimum 20% of local people influenced by the creation of the Cynology centre and minimum 60% of local people informed by the Project Information and Publicity Actions. Established a sustainable cross-border partnership with the creation of the International Cynology Centre. Diversification of the touristic attractions and products in the cross-border region. 15 women and 25 children from the cross-border region will be benefit by the conducted workshops. Achievement of an effective exchange of know-how, experience, ideas and knowledge in the sphere of cynology. Creation of an effective management system of the opened new International Cynology Centre through established partnership between public and business organizations. Promoting the development of the alternative forms of tourism and the creation of cross-border cooperation networks between different organizations which operate in the sphere of cynology.
