PROJECT
FINISHED
The project "DIVE IN 2016 " will allow technical college students from various specialties (including those studying cooking and service, sales, administration, maintenance and electrical engineering) to participate in a work placement in Eastbourne, United Kingdom. This two-year project will allow three mobilities, for approximately 12 students at a time. For four weeks, our pupils will be employed by various companies within a 20km perimeter of this seaside town and accommodated by host families there as well. Besides the obvious linguistic benefits of complete immersion in the English language, our project is aimed to facilitate the acquisition and use of skills (e.g. open-mindedness, independence, teamwork, awareness of their European citizenship) in order to improve the pupils' personal fulfillment and employability.Regarding the objectives of the academic project (such as developing European and international partnerships to improve language skills and encourage the pupils' adaptability and mobility), this program is going to offer our technical college students a cultural and professional opportunity which will give them the taste for mobility.Furthermore, our establishment aims to accentuate its European identity by allowing every voluntary pupil of any specialty to do one or more work placements abroad. This project also includes two teachers who really want to improve their teaching practice as well as helping their school get a real European identity through their mobility.
