Celje Youth Center is a place of ideas, socializing and acquiring knowledge. It offers EVS volunteers to implement various activities in a dynamic environment, considering all rights and obligations, which come from program European Voluntary service (individual EVS). According to center's main activities, project will consist of the activities which would mainly based on developing structured dialogue and improving the platform of active participation of young people in our local community, activities such as organizing political tribuns and workshops which would raise the awareness of the rights and obligations, values and identity connected to European citizenship and youth participation, introduce them some new views, knowledge and skills (best practices) in the way that they can be actively involved in discusions, representing critical opiniopn and decision making process which would help, stimulate and encourage them to create their own ideas and realize their initiatives through activities so they could become active citizens of our local community and furthermore of European union; giving youth information about EVS in primary and secondary schools of Celje, arranging information tables and giving support to young people, who are deciding to participate in Youth in action programmes; project activities in film studio (help with filming events of young people and activities of youth center) and own activities in film area, use of new technologies for designing, visualizations and updating web pages and forums; realization of other project activities of youth center on multimedia area inside of multimedia center and realization of personal projects on the themes such as youth participation, European citizenship, global challenges. Project will take place in Celje for one year. The project will conducted by one EVS volunteer from Greece (Kesanidou Efthymia). Volunteer activities will be realized using different methods of direct communication, multicultural learning and understanding. EVS volunteer will be an ambassador of the multiculturalism.
