The Ecole nationale de formation agronomique (ENFA) is a higher education institution under administrative supervision of the French Ministry of Agriculture. The ENFA has 156 employees (civil servants and professors).
Initial and continuous training of employees from public agricultural technical and vocational institutions constitutes the main activities of ENFA. It's the only french HEI in charge of the training of the teachers working in voational agricultural high schools.
In this context, the ENFA has set up Groups of Animation and Professionalization (GAP). For each field of instruction (for a total of 15 fields) those groups bring together teachers from technical, agricultural education (about ten per discipline spread throughout the French territory), one or two trainers or research professor from this discipline, sometime associated with a research professor in educational sciences, and also an Inspector from this discipline.
Working collectively, from practises analysis and tracking difficulties vocational teachers may have in their job, they produce ressources, documents, recommandations and trainings.
This project thus aims at three of the specific ERASMUS + purposes : improving the level of competences and key skills, favouring the improvement of quality, innovation, excellence and internationalisation of teaching and training institutions, improving languages teaching and learning and promoting the wide linguistic diversity of the Union as well as the awareness of the intercultural dimension.
The partners of this projects are either “traditional” partners with whom we have been collaborating for long, either partners met during recent projects with whom we share common purposes and with whom we have complementarities.
Expected impacts on the beneficiaries are of different kinds : impacts on pedagogical practises, impact on the international relations, impact on intercultural skills. The main needs of the participants are of two natures : discovering professional practises that should differ from theirs for inspiration and being accompanied for linguistic competences during the mobility.
One of the first indicators of evaluation is the number of mobilities realised in comparison with the previsions in the financial contract. A satisfaction questionnaire will be proposed to the partners. It will help knowing their difficulties and expectations, for example. Finally, a visit of one partner country per year, at least, is essential to maintain a close contact and to have better feed-back about the project.
Getting information about the satisfactions or dissatisfactions of participants throughout all the project in order to see if it has really added value to their involvement in the GAP and in their daily practises, than collecting their proposals of improvement will be important.
The dissemination is one of the best point of this project : tha aim of it is to produce resources which will be proposed to vocational teachers through websites and wide accesses platforms of GAP. Thus, 200 french vocational high schools should be targeted by this project.
