The main factor in the formation of our Project is to provide ease in the implementation of DyNED and EBA systems, prepared by Ministry of Education for the use of technology in language teaching and to be a model for other institutions located in our district is in using these systems.
With these systems, Blended Learning has taken the place of the existing teaching techniques, and language classes , in which the technology will be used more efficiently , is planned to be created.
The language teachers in our school are graduated from university ,respectively, in 2004-2008-2012 therefore Blended Learning was not included among the courses of university. Technological breakthroughs in education made by Ministry of Education for the last two years requires our teachers to receive training for conducting the process. Learning new teaching methods, improving language and personel proficiency are the main objectives of our Project on individuals.
The first mobility includes nine-day daily training entitled “Using Technology in the courses for European teachers” , involving Blended Learning, in Cardiff-UK from 11 October to 23 October 2015.
7 (seven) days of the course includes training on the use of technology in language teaching, 2 days of the course includes the visit of schools, which will offer the opportunity to compare education systems and foreign language teaching process.
The reason of us for taking this training is coincidence of the content of the course with the goals of our Project, the reason of us for taking this training from this course provider is the preparation of the course provider,like reading the necessary books before the course.
The second mobility includes two-day job observation in a state school in Metz-France in March,2016 consisting of five people , language teachers of our school and with the participation of our school’s headmaster and guidance counselor, it is planned to contribute to the project especially during dissemination activities.
The reason for choosing a French partner for job observation is DYNED’s being used at ministerial level only by Turkish and French Ministries of Education in Europe. The job observation here plays an important role in the transfer of best practices to our own institution, taking the necessary measures before the emergence of issues arising from the application of DYNED system in the state school in France in the context of the work program of Council of the EU "Education and Training 2010" in parallel to the target “ promoting cooperation for the improvement of education and training systems of members and the candidate contries.
The contributions of the planned mobility activities for our institution and staff in case of realization:
a) More effective use of DYNED system along with the adoption of “Blended Learning” method
b) One of the four main objectives of the European Council Conclusions of Education 2020 titled Strategic Framework for Education and Training Cooperation, “effective use of information and communication technologiesin language teaching" in paralel to the target “improving the education and training of quality and efficiency”
c) Ensuring the English language teaching not being limited to the class hours and making the learning possible outside the school and learning how to organize this process
d) Ensuring competence in working within the group
e) Ministry of Education states “the uncontrolled use of information devices(the misuse of technology) as a threat in the Strategic Plan Situation Analysis 2010-2014. The given case’s being valid for our own institution has been identified as a result of the observations.
Ensuring the proper use of technology by students as a result of tracking and encouraging the regular use of DYNED and EBA systems with the acquired knowledge as the result of these mobility activities .
