DIGITIZING EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING ENVIRONMENT WITH IOT APPS

It is very important to strengthen the bonds of our new generation students with the school and the education environments to respond to the necessities of the age in terms of the future of education. Besides, it has become inevitable for the schools to adopt innovative education models and reach the level of the countries which want to be successful in terms of maintaining their attractiveness and enabling the continuity of the students. At this point, the integration of technology into education will shape the schools of the future. 'Internet Of Things’ which is defined as a system of devices that have formed a smart net connecting and communicating with each other thanks to a variety of communication protocols. Internet of things is an ecosystem which includes many substructures,more than a process by itself. With the project that we will carry out,we aim to improve the cooperation,safety and reliability of the systems built according to IOT ecosystem,which we believe to improve people’s lives and increase the roles of these systems in the educational process of Informatic Technologies. The project work we will carry out in this area, will serve the increase of sectoral awareness and enlargement of employment areas. It is also inevitable for the schools to follow the technological activities closely and in the future, to reach the level of the countries that want to be successful in terms of maintaining their attractiveness and student attendance by adopting innovative educational models. At this point the integration of young minds to the new software tools will take the competition in the informatics sector and employability up to high a level and thus, it will help to increase vocational and technical training quality. With this project, we plan to increase the competency, qualification and experiences of our teachers and vocational technical education students in practice. In addition, by identifying the differences between what the experienced EU member countries do in this issue and the dimension of the technological infrastructures and the local tools we use, strengthening the infrastructures to develop applications for IOT ecosystem in our country exists as an important goal in the result of our project. Participants of our project will be parts of the developing and changing information world. A total of 50 people with the participation of 5 educators working in project stakeholders , willing to develop applications for IOT infrastructure and open to changes and 5 learners will be taking part in the project actively. In order to actualize this goal, a series of activities will be carried out in our country and in the partner countries. With the project activities, two intellectual outputs will be put forward called IOT DIGI CLASS and IOT DIGI CLASS MODULE. An important step will be taken about intelligent learning environment and teachers, students, parents, administrators and technology coordinators who we can call a learning community, and who are the stakeholders of education, will be a learning model or an educator for each other. With the project work that we are going to make, Fatih project will be carried out by realizing the integration of technology including the parents in the home into the education process, and it will be possible for the parents to take part in the learning process of the students actively. At this point, the chance of a training which integrates or combines school and home through technology to reveal important potentials seem pretty high. IOT Technologies will contribute to bringing a technological quality to education, increasing the communication between teachers, school administration, students and parents, enabling the maximum utilizing of educational materials and continuity of the educational processes in and outside the schools. In addition to this, it will contribute to schools’ being a centre of attractiveness and continuity of education. Finally, our participants will contribute to increase the qualities of vocational and technical education studies and developing its standards, raising qualified staff and helping them to be employed, and also it will contribute to the economy of the country by responding to the expectations of the ccompetitive labor market. Cultural awareness of our participants will increase as a result of the mobility to the partner country. Their foreign languages will be improved and they will be more powerful to reach foreign resources and use them. In addition, with the close monitoring of the studies and technological advances made in the field of informatics, renewal of the education process, reorganization of the curriculum and the increase of the quality and effectiveness of vocational and technical education will be enabled by making disclosures in the eyes of the officials.
