During the course "How to make your school more international", teachers learn how to develop a vision and a plan for the internationalisation policy of their school, how to manage all types of international activities with or without partners abroad, how to adapt projects to the school's curriculum and make internationally-oriented curricular elements more efficient. There will be video conferences, working groups.
In the courses “Best Practices Benchmarking” and "Tap - Swipe - Pinch", teachers will develop a school policy to find innovative ways to use tablets and digital learning. Teachers will gain expertise in the use of tablets in different areas but also in curricular activities and Erasmus projects. There will be self-presentations with tablets, workshops, activities for innovation. In the course of benchmarking organised by Euneos, teachers will learn ways of building permanent structures for innovation in school, how to adjust school's mission to the objectives of innovation and how to address ways of solving learning difficulties. The programme will comprise lesson attendance and observation, workshops, discussions, immersion into the educational systems in Estonia and Finland.
"Creative & critical thinking development in learners" - this training’s purpose is to teach educators different ways and methods of empowering their students to become creative thinkers, critical thinkers, and problem solvers. It is a fully interactive course and the teaching methods involve experiential learning and workshop approaches with case studies, group activities, simulations, thinking tools and discussions. Apart from that they are given enough time and space for individual reflection.
Our school will develop a long term internationalisation plan for a period of six months after the end of the course. Teaching and learning will be done by means of tablets. An inventory will be made of the curricular items including European and international topics. New learning plans and learning units will use iPad or tablet apps, these technologies being integrated into the curriculum. A team and a coordinator of innovation are to be appointed in our high school. This team will deliver courses to qualify the school staff and students in the innovative spirit. These newly founded structures will pave the way of transition to digital learning and in practice will lead to concluding partnerships with schools abroad.
The outcome will consist in a better educational process which will make the shift from non - digital to digital, an innovative teaching staff that will ensure better international orientation and a more effective insertion of its high school graduates on the European labour market , better international projects, an innovative vision and an updated curriculum in keeping with the internationalisation and digitisation requirements.
The disseminating co-ordinates of these innovative trends will range from the school site, the traditional ways of informing (local newspapers, local TV stations), to methodical actions at the county level, in the Centenary Colleges Association, UNESCO Associated Schools Network, eTwinning channels and European Shared Treasure database.
