The participants were young people willing to work on the subjects of gender, women's right and women's employment and socializing women. During the exchange, there was workshops, briefings and presentations about these subjects. Through the project, we planned to create an awareness about the necessity of increasing the women labour force, develop new methods and approaches to this thread by increasing the awareness of the organisations working in the programme countries.
The project took place as a Youth Exchange Programme in the province of Mu? between 30.04.2015 and 07.05.2015 by the participation of 35 participants from different countries.
Objectives of the project,
-To increase the gender awareness in youth studies by improving the competences of the young people and the youth leaders in the subject of planning, facilitating and considering common learning activities in the terms of gender equality.
-To influence young people to consider gender equality through European citizenship and social rights.
-To create platforms for the young people to discuss the current issues of Europe and to provide reliable information in these matters.
-To facilitate the future collaborations and networks among young participants.
-To improve participants' knowledge and understanding of the gender and related subjects. Also, to note gender equality is closely associated with "Youth Programme" and youth studies.
-To make young participants work together in cooperation and meet in common ground as the violence against women is a common problem all over the world.
The participants are consisted of young people who were willing to work on the subjects of gender, women's right and women's employment and socializing women. During the exchange, workshops, briefings and presentations implemented about these subjects. Through the project, we tried to create an awareness about the necessity of increasing the women labour force, develop new methods and approaches to this thread by increasing the awareness of the organisations working in the programme countries.
The project last 8 days and non-formal education methods were used such as; workshops, role plays, outdoor activities, ice-breakers, the round table meetings. The project will be based on the process of intercultural learning that raises active participation.As the result of the project, the participants knew more on the subjects of gender, women's right and women's employment and socializing women. They benefited from their knowledge and competences in their further activities in these topics and they made an influence locally, nationally and internationally.
In the long term, through this project, by the activities those are held by partner organizations and the organisations those the project output is shared, the expected potential benefits are:
-Increase in women labour force through the new projects of the participants.
-Developing an understanding of the concept of gender through the future projects.
-Improving young people's knowledge on the concept of gender.
