The Agricultural Poultry Cooperative of PINDOS, the largest Cooperative of Poultry Production in Greece, from 1958 has a continuously upward trend in the Greek, but also in the international market, putting the bar higher and higher, with the quality of its products, consumer confidence, and its business activities. The company's objective is to develop business with the aim of exploiting renewable energy sources and other sources to produce electricity or heat. Through targeted actions and interventions, aims to contribute to strengthening the adaptability to new circumstances entrepreneurship, and upgrading of professional and personal skills of Employers who are responsible for personnel. So as a sending organization, participates in planning mobility projects, selecting subjects according to the findings and the data resulting from the detection of training needs and the needs of the labor market. The object of the proposed project relates to the poultry farm waste to produce energy. This is a practice that is widespread in the European Union, while in Greece still there are delays. During the flow, the poultry farm owners and managers will have the opportunity to understand the ways in which waste from the poultry farms are an energy “gold mine”, as they have zero cost of raw material and involve multiple benefits for employment and the environment. In addition, the participants will watch proceedings such as anaerobic digestion, through which the poultry waste, within a few days, may produce biogas, consisting of methane and carbon dioxide, and has practical applications identical to those of natural gas. The primary objective of the proposal is to enrich and update the knowledge of the participants on topics like "Poultry Waste Management for the production of electricity" to seek answers and viable solutions to problems that concern them for a long time. EDUCATIONAL NEEDS The current economic environment presents several challenges with respect to Environmental Management. These challenges focus on: • In knowledge about waste management of their units , • To obtain a higher level of education in order to increase the flexibility and adaptability of an industry to changing labor market conditions. • The knowledge / expertise in buildings required for the equipment , • In maintaining the viability and efficient operation of their business consistent with EU rules on environmental management. The total project duration is 14 days and will take place in Germany with the participation of 25 beneficiaries. The flow will last two (2) weeks and will be held from 05/11/2014 up to 18/11/2014. Prospective beneficiaries in mobility are owners and managers of poultry houses and slaughterhouses. The host organization uve GmbH selected has extensive experience and expertise in relation to mobility and adult education. Planned visits to companies are deemed valuable and will contribute significantly to the understanding of the subject training.
