DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT FOR TRANSYLVANIA +
Start date: Jul 2, 2014,
End date: Mar 1, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
The Youth Association from Transylvania organized the second long term EVS project with a group of nine volunteers coming from 7 European countries, Armenia, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal and Slovenia. The project title was "DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT FOR TRANSYLVANIA + ' and activities began in September 2014 and lasted between 8 and 12 months. This project was the continuation of the first EVS project of the association which had 6 volunteers the long term. Also, out this project we hosted in the same period two volunteers for 12 months, coordinated by a Turkish partner.
We implemented this project according to a long-term plan established at the formation of the association aimed at developing our community at local level, but also at the level of Transylvania. This includes strengthening opportunities for youth mobility, improving educational opportunities by providing better access to different jobs' markets and broadening cultural knowledge and experience of our target groups, which are children, youth and young adults in the strict sense, and the whole community in a broader sense. This EVS project is part of this plan.
Our objectives were:
1. Hosting 9 EVS volunteers who continue the activities of the 6 volunteers who made activities in the community in the first project implemented by ATA
2.That the project contributes to the fulfillment of our long-term plan, to support through the local and regional activities the youth and the development of our communities.
3. That the project achieves tangible impact, self measurable and quantifiable, more involvement of youth locally, more mass media actors, educational, environmental protection and leisure in the area and professional development for the volunteers.
What made this project different from many other EVS projects is that before we submit the application form we have gone through a thorough selection phase for the six activities realized within the project.
These were the activities and the volunteers who implemented the project:
