The overall objective of the project is to increase the number of foreign and local tourists in Pagegiai – Sovetsk cross-border region first of all improving a quality of tourism information system by creation of the tourism information centres in Pagegiai (Lithuania) and Sovetsk (Russia) further organizing two museum expositions in Pagegiai center. Achievements: 1. Tourism information center in Pagegiai was reconstructed and installed with museum exhibition.2. Tourism information center in Sovetsk was reconstructed.3. Equipment necessary for activity of both centers was purchased.4. 10 joint tourist routes were elaborated.5. Two interactive computer terminals in Pagegiai and one in Sovetsk were installed.6. 3 information stands were set.7. 500 brochures, 1600 leaflets and 1600 booklets were published and disseminated.8. 11 coordination meetings and 2 project conferences were organized.9. Web-sites for tourism information centers were developed (1 in Pagegiai, 1 in Sovetsk).10. Concept and marketing strategy for Pagegiai tourism information center were developed.11. 34 press articles were published and 3 TV reviews were shot in Sovetsk.
