The project directly aimed at the development and the improvement of floodforecasts, the support of the operation of the flood emergency reservoir, theunderstanding of hydrologic relations of the river by the reconstruction of waterlevel measuring centre on the Feher-Kris as well as the assessment of water quantitydirected into the Élővíz channel and through this, the support of water refreshmentcontrol. Initial measures serve as a basis for planned joint natural protection programmes.Investments in flood and surface water control contribute to the reduction of significantflood protection and relief expenses every year.
