Development of New Land Governance Studies in Macedonia and Ukraine

This project is aimed at developing a new Master programme in Land governance by two Macedonian and four Ukrainian universities. The new MSc programme is to be officially in operation from September 2012. This Master programme will provide the national economies of Macedonia (MK) and Ukraine (UA) with highly skilled specialists in land governance and administration. Therefore, the programme will promote sustainable development of land policy as well as facilitate land administration of these countries. Moreover, the project will enhance Bologna process in higher education of MK and UA. The joint project work will result in:- newly developed Master curriculum in Land governance, new courses and respective teaching materials at SCMU, GDU, KNUCA, DNTU, KNAU, LNAU;- established new IT academic environment including Centres of Land Governance as well as introduced new IT teaching methodologies at all partner universities;- retrained teachers of SCMU, GDU, KNUCA, DNTU, KNAU, LNAU. Training of teachers of SCMU, GDU, KNUCA, DNTU, KNAU, and LNAU will be performed through intensive study visits to the EU consortium members to increase teachers' competence as well as through English courses to improve their communication skills. Individual teachers' mobility to the EU university is also planned. To strengthen the link between education and practice, three info-sessions are to be carried out with invitation of a wide range of professional bodies working in the relevant field. The project results will be disseminated through the established project's website, advertising campaigns and thedissemination conferences to be held in May-June 2012 in KNUCA and SCMU with inviting all consortium members and representatives from relevant governmental and non-governmental entities.
