The overall objective of the project is development of the cross-border cooperation and preservation of cultural heritage in the region. The immediate objectives are following: development and improvement of quality of the existing cultural infrastructure in Druskininkai and Augustów, establishment of conditions for the long term cross – border cooperation between both cities and promotion of the joint crossborder image. Expected Results: The following main activities are foreseen to be implemented within the project: renovation of former boiler-house premises for Druskininkai Youth occupation centre; building of the amphitheater in Augustów; purchase and installation of necessary equipment and organisation of 4 joint cross-border events in Druskininkai and Augustów – photo plain-airs, exhibitions, cultural workshops and Polish–Lithuanian festival. The project activities will be widely highlighted in the regional mass-media.
