Development of basic and advanced training modules for cleaning service enterprises in order to implement the European Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 of the European Parliament on the hygiene of food stuffs

In the course of the project, basic and advanced HACCP training modules were generated. The modules allow cleaning service enterprises to implement the European requirements on hygiene in food production areas, following the Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 of the European Parliament, Directive 93/43/EEC, Commission Decision 2001/471/EC, and the HACCP-concept. These modules are based on an already existing product, the basic and advanced training modules to introduce RABC-Systems (Risk Analysis and Biocontamination Control) in laundries in the EU (Leonardo da Vinci-Project Nr. D/03/B/F/PP-146 082). The educational methodology is based on e-learning and blended learning. Thus, cleaning staff and cleaning service enterprises will be provided with a new opportunity of informal learning. These basic and advanced training modules can be utilised in the entire EU. This will create and secure jobs, because the quality and the level of documentation on cleaning and disinfection procedures in cleaning service enterprises will improve, which in return increases the attendance in the food industry towards cleaning contractors.
