DOIT enhances the quality of education in participating IL and GE HEI by:• designing, piloting and implementing curricular reform which promotes ME (Multicultural Education) and CDT (cultural diversity training) and • Facilitating the exchange and sharing of knowledge among professionals involved in education. DOIT's Principal multi-dimensional program includes design, piloting and integrating into the curriculum of participating partners HEIs in IL and GEO: educational modules (EM) for students and in-service teachers (WP1.2 and WP3.1); teacher-training workshops for faculty (WP1.4 and WP3.2); activities which promote inter-cultural relations (WP1.3 and WP3.3); A portal (WP2); A quality assurance plan (WP4); Dissemination (WP5) and Management (WP6).At least 40 faculty from the participating partner HEI's and targeted EU will be trained and gain strategic tools for piloting the EM. At least four classes in each IL and GE HEI will pilot the program (40 classes). At least 3 student activity-programs will be piloted in each IL HEI and targeted GEO HEIs. Targeted EU will pilot the EM.DOIT's website will facilitate the quality of work, communication, dissemination of the program within the consortium and beyond. It will feature culturally specific teaching materials, recorded model classes, and share best piloted practices.Procedures of quality assurance will be applied through all stages of the program and ensure program development, pilots, integration of the curriculum, dissemination and quality management. Outcomes: piloted programs will be integrated into IL and GE HEIs curriculum; participating faculty will gain life-long skills and competency in MCE and CDT that will be sustained after the program; students and in-service teachers participants will gain life-long tools that they can apply when they teach, and the international professional ties that were formed will continue to evolve through future programs and projects.
