Development and improvement of the University Administration on International Affairs

The project on Development and improvement of the university administration on International Affairs (UNIVIA) is aimed at creation of a completely new International Relations Office (IRO) in the partner universities with optimal and flexible administration mechanisms in order to improve the work of IROs as an integral part of overall University administration. It supposes to use the advantage and best experience originated from IRO activities to increase the quality level of higher education offered by partner universities, and to make these universities the reliable partners for European and world prestigious universities. The project specifically aims to establish a special mechanism, based on both European experience and own educational traditions, that will assist partner universities to clarify the concrete mission and tasks of IRO, to establish international educational environment with diversified students and teaching staff, to become a globally-connected university, to be included in worldwide universities network, and to be included in internationally recognized university ranking lists and so on. Following the above-mentioned objectives, the principal outcomes of the project will be as follows: review of Partner & EU universities' IROs; development of necessary policy documents; establishment of the effective mechanism for IROs; getting EU experience in new established mechanism.As the result of successful implementation of the project the partner universities will get a completely new IRO with concrete missions and tasks, and 3 main policy documents as the legal instruments for its effective functioning. By the end of project period the number of foreign students and teaching staff as well as participation in exchange programs will be significantly increased. Additionally, the partner universities will have much more potential to be included in internationally recognized university ranking lists.
