PROJECT
FINISHED
The project entitled “Developing the entrepreneurial skills of the learners through the European mobility training programme” has been implemented in a national consortium formed of four VET schools: Technical College Costin D. Nenitescu Pitesti – coordinating institution and the partner sending institutions Economic College Maria Teiuleanu Pitesti, Technological Highschool Vitomiresti, Olt and Technologic Highschool no.1 Maracineni, Arges. This national consortium has been created to train the participants according to the European Framework of qualifications in the economic field and to develop their linguistic competences, of vital importance nowadays when the geographic mobility for study and work has become a necessity. Another criterium, which the creation of the consortium was based upon, has consisted of supporting the schools that had not participated in similar projects before and especially those in the rural environment, in accessing and implementing an Erasmus+ professional training project.
The specific objectives of the project have been:
- developing the abilities and competences of a group of 48 participants, qualification Trade worker, concerning the transition from school to workplace and elaborating a business plan;
- developing the abilities and competences of a group of 48 participants, qualification Technician in trade activities and Technician in economic activities in the field of marketing and organising human resources;
- developing the communication skills in English of all the 96 participants in the project;
- developing the social abilities of all the 96 participants in the project – the ability to adjust to a new living context;
All the specific objectives have been completely achieved according to the project proposal through training mobilities in the partner institution - the VET training centre WBS Training AG in Dresden, Germany as follows:
- 48 participants , qualification Trade worker, X-th grade, have carried out practice on the modules Professional Communication and Business Start-Up;
- 48 participants, qualification Technician in economic activities , XI-th grade, have carried out practice on the modules Business marketing and Organising human resources.
The 96 participants’ mobility has been developed in 6 flows of 16 participants each, and the two weeks duration of the mobilities has been chosen in order to ensure the full coverage of contents and the achievement of the objectives proposed by the project.
These objectives have been completely accomplished and the impact on the participants has been relevant from the point of view of the professional training and of the social competences. The parrticipants’confidence in their abilities to perform assumed tasks in new work conditions has increased, they have better understood the necessity of knowing a foreign language of international coverage, they have become more analytical and more responsible.
The activities developed during the project have been planned for each stage of its lifecycle and have consisted mainly of:
-preparing the mobilities – contracting, appointing the managing comissions on the consortium level and on the sending institutions level, the participants’selection and preparation, signing contracts Learning Agreement and Quality Commitment between school and participants, ensuring logistics, introducing the mobilities in the Mobility Tool and Europass databases, initiating Europass Mobility;
- implementing the mobilities – monitoring the participants’ international transport, meals and accomodation conditions, monitoring the training activities, the acquisition of learning outcomes, the quality of the tutoring activities, the assessment and certification of learning outcomes through
Europass Mobility, managing the risk situations (illnesses, difficulties in adjusting the new work and life environment, of adjusting to teamwork);
-supporting the participants in filling in the online questionnaires after returning from mobility; disseminating the project outcomes on the local, regional and national levels, assessing the project, final reporting and establishing the improvement strategies of the future mobility activities on the level of each partner institution and on the consortium level.
By the project there have been promoted and used ECVET instruments (MoU, LA and Europass Mobility) that have ensured the transparency and certification of the learning outcomes acquired during mobility and have allowed acknowledging the training period for all participants by granting the credit points assigned to the respective modules. The validation and acknowledgement of the learning outcomes have been performed by the sending institutions after finishing the mobilities.
Through the project we have facilitated the access to Erasmus+ programme of some entry level VET institutions that have acquired competences in managing the VET learners training projects.
