Municipalities located in the outer fringe of the program area faces: negative population growth, lack of development in existing companies and low attractiveness for new businesses and citizens to establish themselves in the rural areas. Project will for exemple create a generic development model for the development of SME´s in rural areas, and a business-to-business network. Achievements: The project UDLAVI has started their work on a survey in order to examine what the local business community needs to develop and grow. Based on the results, a number of SME's has been selected to participate in workshops where the companies can develop their business idea and get counseling by the municipalities. In this way, the partnership hopes to contribute to a vibrant and sustainable business environment in the rural areas in the Oresund Region.
