Each organization and informal group will have 2 participants who will function as multipliers in their own group/ NGO. There're 4 main themes: 1) Enhance participation in democratic processes 2) Promote and strengthen European citizenship 3) Empower Youth participation 4) Advocacy on concrete, self‐defined issues as concrete expression of democratic and active citizenship. The different moments of the project are about: to train youth in articulating and representing their interests in the institutions of representative democracy, to develop and improve skills of communication, to take part in real advocacy activities and to learn‐by‐doing, to influence policy making processes, to strengthen international ties and the meaning of cooperation in terms of youth participation in policy‐making process, to document advocacy processes and progress to share experience and knowledge gained, to produce a tool‐kit by youth for youth who want to engage with advocacy work. Through this, the project will contribute to the YiA priorities of “Year of volunteering” because the participants are heart‐driven volunteers who engage to an unusual extent to highlight youth‐related issues. In doing so they’ll address “youth unemployment” because naturally some of the issues that will be chosen do affect youth employment issues. The project will be implemented in different phases: Seminar in Brussels as kick‐off, the strategy‐making phase back home, the phase of the 1st implementation of advocacy work, mid‐term evaluation called twin‐exchange to meet other participants and share experiences, the 2nd phase of advocacy implementation and finally a conclusive seminar.
