DEinTRA - Cooperation for Innovative Training Methodologies Deployment in the European Labour Market

Nowadays, the increasingly changing and updating new technologies have burst into the training environment allowing the development and experimentation of innovative methodologies very successfully. While the lifelong learning culture consolidates in the European SMEs, the application of these innovative training methodologies gives adjusted, customised and no-limited (in terms of time and space) response to the workers needs. Nevertheless, an in-depth analysis help detect important differences and barriers in the effective use of these methodologies.First of all, there is no consensus on the definition of innovative training methodology, as it depends on the context of analysis. On the other hand, they are not always accessible and show barriers depending on the economical sector, learner profile and training level. Finally, the stakeholders that lead the professional training market defend a variety of approaches, interests, knowledge, information that sometimes do not promote the demand and, may times do not allow a conceptual harmonization and real practice. For these reasons, DEinTRA association (formed of multiagent organisations directly linked to training, entrepreneurial and social environments) intends to reach a consensus about what are innovative methodologies in lifelong learning, to detect the main barriers (cultural, technological, economical) that hinder their deployment, and to provide recommendations for their adaptation and application in different sectors, collectives and educational levels.
