Deepening of cross-border cooperation in the field of training and labour market orientation of social professionals

The main goal of the project is to contribute to the development of the border region by improving the quality of training of social professionals. Social problems are similar on both sides of the border area but there may be differences in the responses to the problems, which appears in the operation of the social provision system. That is why becoming familiar and improving the social provision system is important in both sides. This project is divided in two main parts: a research aims to find out the main characteristics of social worker professional and employment opportunities for social professionals in the border region in order to adapt the training of social professionals to the existing labour market. This research helps to attain the other main part, more specific and effective education of the future social professionals. To achieve this goal PPs organize theoretical courses and field work for the students in both sides of the border, publish handbooks and workbooks for the trainings and establish student job centres. The general objective of the project is improving the quality of training of social professionals contribute to the development of the economy with social and territorial cohesions. The direct target group of the project is the students, who become social professionals (social workers, social pedagogues) after graduation. Among the participants of the project there are students with disadvantages, e.g. Romas and disabled people. The main specific activities of the project are joint training of social professionals, identifying main characteristics of social professional training and employment opportunities, development of training materials. Expected Results: 6 courses, 5 training materials, 2 job centres opened, 1 database, 1 research report.
